Coghlan Fundamental is a school of choice which offers families a small school environment in a rural setting.  We provide to our students a stable, supportive place to grow both academically and socially.  There is a very low transiency rate at the school, so students grow through their elementary school years together in a structured, caring atmosphere.  Beyond the classroom, intermediate students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports teams as well as a band program offered by D.W. Poppy Secondary staff.  We are well equipped with current technology which students enjoy using as they develop their digital literacy skills.  With Parent Advisory Council (PAC), the school hosts evening events throughout the year such as movie nights and our annual Family Fun Night.  The PAC also funds numerous cultural, music and drama presentations that students enjoy throughout the year.  For a small school, we are an active community that is well supported by our families.

When students are finished their elementary schooling here, they have the guaranteed opportunity to continue with the Fundamental School Program by registering at Langley Fundamental Secondary School for Grade 8.
